Weather conditions on Apr. 21 proved to be ideal for distance running, and the result was one of the most memorable Boston Marathons in history. The pleasant weather brought out an immense and enthusiastic crowd that was treated to two special honors: seeing the closest women's finish in race history, and seeing Saint Anselm College Junior Nick Rich running the course donning just a "Speedo" swimsuit and a sweatband.

With two victories over Rhode Island College on May 4, the Keene State College baseball team made history. For the first time since the team joined the Little East Conference, KSC won the regular season division title outright.

Tyvon Branch, CB - Branch made a large impact his junior and senior years, starting at both cornerback and safety. During the 2007 season he was a standout on special teams, leading the Big East in kick return average (28.9 yards) and becoming the first player in UConn history to return two kickoffs for touchdowns in the same season.

Sam Vaghar '08 will be this year's senior speaker at the May 18 commencement ceremony.

Vaghar was selected by a committee compiled of faculty, staff and students, the nonvoting chairman of the committee, Dean of Student Life Rick Sawyer, said.

The committee picks 10 speeches from the submissions, then students' names are put back onto the essays and they are put online for the senior class to vote on them.
